Distance could not stop mom's birthday hug

Living far from your country or your hometown teaches you to value the simplest things: your mother's voice on the phone, her cooking and the warmth of her home. For Mateo, celebrating his mom's 60th birthday from thousands of kilometers away felt like a thorn in his chest.
